Sew cute!

Grandma Shirley, Cecilia and I have been getting together every Friday for "sewing dates". We talk about old memories, make new ones and enjoy each other's company. She will hold the baby while I sew and then we will switch. Yesterday she made her famous (and DELICIOUS) scones with maple frosting. Forget losing weight...you can't eat just one! Here are some of the fruits of our labors. I think the little munchkin looks dashing in her sewn-with-love apparel. (But then again, she always looks dashing!)

Jacket, Mini skirt and leg warmers! :) We made the leg warmers from an old pair of dress socks. We cut the feet off and added lace! Super easy and so darn cute!

drifting off to sleep in her new outfit.

We made this dress a little big so that it will still fit her when summer comes around. She will probably be able to wear it as a shirt when she gets older too.

I LOVE this fabric. Hopefully we can use the left over scraps for something really cute.

This dress was the most difficult to sew, but I love how it turned out. Isn't she just kissable?!

We cut some receiving blankets up and surged the edges to make cloth baby wipes. Since we are already doing to cloth diapers it makes sense to use cloth wipes too.

Thanks Mimi for the outfit. It's nine month size, but it fits me pretty well already. :)

Sandy Friedman, an old and dear friend that used to live next door to us in Laguna Beach sent Cece a package full of adorable gifts. Her favorite is the soft bunny blanket. Sandy was like a second Mommy to me when I was little. I have fond memories of sleeping over at their house and doing girly things with Sandy (who had only boys). So neat to see my own little girl snuggled up with blankets that she sent us.
