Cece's First Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! This morning Cece put on her costume and we went to a friend's house to play. After a long nap in her elephant suite, we went to the grocery store and everyone thought she was adorable. Lastly we watched a good movie with Papa and our friend Courtney. No one came to our door, but we had a fun Halloween party just the four of us!

It's raining, it's pouring!

It's been pouring cats and dogs all day today... So Cece and Mama bundled up and drove out to Great Grandma Shirley's house. It was a stunning drive with all of the red, orange and yellow leaves along the road. Grandma had steamy Italian Wedding Soup ready for us with cheese bread rolls hot out of the oven and dessert of pumpkin pie. Yum!! Cece crawled around while grandma sewed her a cozy fleece hat and I made fabric roses to adorn it. We love spending time with Grandma!! We stopped at my parent's house on the way home but made sure not to get too close. Between them all they have stomach flu, ear infections, pneumonia, sinus infections, a swollen spleen and hives. And possibly strep throat, they are still waiting on the lab work for that one. Poor kids!!! So I didn't get any closer than the front porch. :( Now Mike is singing at Choir and Cece and I are doing some laundry. She sends baby kisses to everyone!! Here is a picture of her in her new hat. :)

Salon day!

Today Cece and Daddy played together while Mommy had her hair done! Very relaxing! Thanks Daddy!!
Oh and I found my celebrity look alike while looking for pictures of good haircuts. :) see the pic of half my face/ half Blake lively face? Weird.

Happy Saturday!

We had a great day today! We spent the first half of the day dancing our hearts out to the "Just Dance" wii game (a very pretty sight, I assure you....) and then made a trip to Costco, Red Robin (they have the best salads while we are on our diet!) and Toys R Us. Cece got a new ball to play with and loves rolling it around. She watches me drop it to make it bounce, but doesn't quite know how to imitate me. Instead she  holds the ball and makes her body bounce. Close enough! :) We had a good little conversation on the phone with Mimi too. That was nice! We hadn't talked in way too long.

Friday Photos!

This week has been a loooong one. I wasn't feeling too well and didn't leave the house. Recipe for going insane! But we made it to the weekend... Yay! Cece has started eating finger foods. She LOVES cheese. And always shares it with mama. she pinches a piece in her chubby fingers, lifts her messy little hand up to my face and smiles. and when a baby shares her food, it doesn't matter how slobbery and gross it looks, you eat it like its the best in the world. ;) Her top two teeth are coming in, so she is fussy and up a lot at night. We are all tired. She loves crawling all over the house and through tunnels that I make with blankets. She loves when we make the bed while she lies on it. Always laughs really hard. :)

Head Shots

Yesterday I had my first opportunity to photograph professional head shots! I LOVED IT. I think I'm definitely going to pursue this venue of photography.

I did some for Naomi, a lady who sings with Mike at Church (and who looks A LOT like Liv Tyler)

Then I did some of Alli... Caitlin's beautiful little sister!! She is an amazing actress and already has a part in the 5th Ave in Seattle at the age of 17!! She will be using these head shots when she is looking for casting calls. Hopefully she spreads the word to other actors and I can get my foot in the door as a head shot photographer in that circle!!

And last but not least, I took a head shot of my handsome husband! Isn't he good lookin'? 

People were commenting that he looked like a successful and famous millionaire in this photo... and so I decided to run with that....

It suites him, dontcha think??

Discovery Village

Today Cece and I met up with Caitlin and her girls to see "Discovery Village". It's a neat play space for little kids... Cecilia LOVED it. She played in the sand and rocks and went "shopping" at the play grocery store. Even better, she gets in for free until her first birthday! I think it will be a frequent rainy day outing!

Cece fell off the rocking chair and hit her head. :( Poor baby!

 She is feeling better now and playing with blocks while listening to "Raffi". Right now it's the "monk" song  about the baboon combing his hair by the light of the moon... the one that Mimi would sing to Michael when he was little. She approves.

Ah, nap time...
