Happy Halloween!

Mommy and her lil pumpkin

The Gang. The boys were army men, Mary was Wendy, Siena was a princess and Bridget was a German  Shepherd puppy.

Michael and I making pumpkin pie....and the baby is getting HUGE. Making it hard to reach the stove top! :)
Hard to believe that next Halloween she will be almost walking!!

Saturday evening project...

I don't know why... but I got it in my head that it would be really cute to have a hot air balloon in her room with a bird enjoying the ride... here's the result:

I think I have a very lively imagination... Yep, that's a bow tie He's wearing. :)

You can kind of see in the background his yellow bird friend is waiting for a turn.

Michael put a hook up and hung it for me above the rocker

Also, scored this dresser at Goodwill! Mike put shelves up too.

Mike even put a hook in the ceiling and hung the mobile too! What a good Daddy! :)

I love doing crafts! So satisfying. I'm trying to take advantage of these last few months without having to stop to feed little miss every hour to get a lot of them done. I'm working on a chalkboard and painting some details on her new dresser next...
Michael plays on the computer next to me while I craft and dutifully acts as a second pair of hands when I need him. He's such a nice person. It's pretty nice being married to him. ;)
Oh, and FYI: I figured out how you can leave comments if you ever want to. See below that it says 0 comments in small type? If you click on it you will have the option to leave a message.

The baby shower was absolutely perfect! My friends spent so many hours and so much love making it beautiful. Here are some pictures!

One of the activities was to make a scrapbook for me to keep of the baby's first year! So clever!

We played a game where you had to fill in the answers with a flower name.
For example: Name for Daddy_____ (The answer was Poppy)

Cake!

Baby Shower gift

I bought a baby a shower gift.... from Mommy. I couldn't resist!! I saw this outfit in a baby boutique in Bozeman and fell in love with the tiny details and embroidery (in case you can't see, it has tiny little birds, flowers and nests embroidered on it) .... but it was wayyyy too expensive. So I have been looking for something similar everywhere. Well, today I found it on sale at Zulily.com!!! Yay! I'm already planning her 6 month pictures in it next summer!! :)

I think I really like embroidery. It's so classic and delicate. I tried my hand at it a while ago on her baby quilt... and the front looks okay, but if you flip it over its a tangled mess of thread because I really don't know what I'm doing. I'm afraid it's not going to last very long. Here's her baby quilt:

Cinnamon

You've heard me talk about my "friend Cinnamon in Spokane" a lot - so here is a picture to put with the name. :) This was taken in the summer on our way home from Montana. It's her birthday this week, so if you read this you can say a prayer for her. She is an incredible person and friend.  She has more determination than anyone I know. The doctors said she would be a vegetable after she drowned as a baby, but she has walked, attended college and is a living miracle!
I've been trying to capture the baby kicking with our video recorder but she gets camera shy. ;) It's pretty cool - you can see her bouncing around under my shirt all the time now. Love you guys!!

New Puppy, New Camera Lens

They got a new puppy, and I got a new camera lens!! It's better than Christmas around here!!
"Scout" The purebred German Shepherd puppy. She has more documentation on her family lineage than I do...

Handsomest boy I ever did see. (I love how this new lens  lets me blur the background more for portraits!!!!!)

Truck full of kids - call RockCreek Design if interested.

I know nobody cares about my lens as much as I do... but I took this shot in almost NO light and it turned out awesome. Yay.

Sleepover

Bridget and Sienna have been begging to come and sleep at our house for a while. So they did! Bridget ended up chickening out, but Sienna and Michelle stayed the whole night. I bought $1 ceramic princess figures to paint together and we played in the new nursery, went for a walk and played at the park. I kept imagining our little girl playing around the house. Can't wait for that!
Sienna's artwork

Bridget's much more meticulous masterpiece

trying out the Baby's playhouse (just to make sure it works okay)

Dressing up her PJs.

Trying out the baby's books too!

Sienna said I needed a crown too. Obviously.

Sienna's second outfit of the night to be photographed. (Meanwhile Bridget did NOT want her picture taken and could care less about her outfit! Those two are so opposite!)

This pose was 100% Sienna. She even found the flower prop.

How I found her in the morning

"I love you Tata!"
