almost 38 weeks!

I think it's time to come out now little one!!!

Crazy pregnant lady...

I'm going crazy.
A) I crave ice incessantly. The other day I wanted to cry when I had the thought that after pregnancy I might not think ice is so delicious... that was a really really sad thought. In fact, I think I may be gaining a reputation as "that crazy ice lady" at local fast food destinations. I've been known to use the drive through for requesting cups of crushed ice...

B) I'm nesting.
Nesting: A mother's urge to build a container or shelter made out of twigs, grass or other material to hold its eggs and young. Pregnant humans may feel a similar urge during pregnancy.
Symptoms that indicate you may be nesting: Getting up at 2 in the morning to organize bathroom drawers, feeling that mops are insufficient and one must resort to scrubbing floors on hands and knees, heating bill increasing substantially due to excessive laundering of all things remotely unclean, addiction to the smell of soap and hot water... etc

Almost there!! Only 28 days till game day!! We've been busy getting everything squared away for the baby and hospital stay.  Everything is pretty set. I just have to get a few more Christmas things done and finish editing some photos and then I will feel all set for her to arrive at any time. ;) I'm having lots of "practice" contractions, but doing great.

Lil Chubber

Here's the latest picture of little fatso. ;) The ultrasound tech said that she weighs about 4 pounds 10 ounces. All of her measurements came back big. I don't think the doctor will actually adjust her due date, since ultrasounds can be wrong and we will just try and wait for her to come when she is ready... but the tech said she is looking more like a baby that would be due around December 23rd instead of the 31st. The little chub chub is kicking around like crazy, using up all our money and stealing our hearts!!

wedding...

Yesterday I photographed a beautiful wedding in Seattle. Michael was my faithful chaperon/butler/waiter. He drove me there, (I had to be there early to photograph her getting ready), got me Starbucks, Picked me up later to drive me to the Church, had food waiting for me to eat in the car, kept me hydrated and bought me Sobies to drink, carried stuff for me and was the most wonderful husband ever!! It was a 14 hour work day for me and my pregnant body was not so happy about it, so when I got in the car at the end of the day and said I wanted ice cream he said "You can have whatever you want!" and looked all over for a diary queen for me. So sweet. Even though I'm sore from head to toe this morning, I'm glad I was able to be a part of it all. A beautiful bride and great wedding! And in the end Michael had fun too with all the dancing and eating at the reception. ;)

Her little boy is due a day after our baby girl.. so maybe we will be in the same place again in 20 years celebrating their wedding... :)

31 week dance party!

The baby woke me up this morning to dance! She does this constantly and all through the night...but whenever I show someone or pull out the camera she freezes. Sneaky little miss. Well, I finally got it on tape to prove to everyone!! Mommy wins!  :)

Saturday evening project...

I don't know why... but I got it in my head that it would be really cute to have a hot air balloon in her room with a bird enjoying the ride... here's the result:

I think I have a very lively imagination... Yep, that's a bow tie He's wearing. :)

Mike even put a hook in the ceiling and hung the mobile too! What a good Daddy! :)

I love doing crafts! So satisfying. I'm trying to take advantage of these last few months without having to stop to feed little miss every hour to get a lot of them done. I'm working on a chalkboard and painting some details on her new dresser next...
Michael plays on the computer next to me while I craft and dutifully acts as a second pair of hands when I need him. He's such a nice person. It's pretty nice being married to him. ;)
